Have Your Soil Tested for Nutrients on Soil Testing Day on April 20th 2024

Ever wonder if your soil actually needs the fertilizer you're putting on it? Save money and protect the lake by having your soil tested for FREE by CT Agricultural Experiment Station and see what nutrients your soil is lacking/already has, and how it could benefit from professional input!

This Soil Testing Day, sponsored by the Candlewood Watershed Initiative, is being held on Saturday, April 20th between 8 AM and noon when samples can be handed off at any of three Soil Sampling Sites around the lake. (New Fairfield Site is located by Veterans Park/Old Rte 37; Sherman’s Site is at the Sherman Green as you approach the rear parking area; New Milford's site is at Scott’s Nursery & Landscaping at 322 Kent Road (Rte 7).
