2021 Commissioning Ceremony

On June16th, Candlewood One was formally commissioned at the Sherman CLA Base with help from the Sherman and Brookfield Fire Departments. It was a beautiful morning on the lake. Photos below. The new boat will have an immediate impact on improving Marine Patrol services on the lake. CLA’s first aluminum purpose-built vessel, Candlewood One was made possible through the generosity of FirstLight as well as the five surrounding lake towns, Business Partners and the CLA Annual Appeal. Thank you to FirstLight, Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), town representatives and all for helping us preserve and protect Candlewood Lake!
